While I have every reason to believe that Michael Walls is a very respectable and ethical person and publicist, unfortunately he has somehow got himself involved with one of Australia’s worst conmen in David Schirmer. David Schirmer is one of the directors on the Succeed Magazine company, he is also under investigation by Australian Government authorities, and he has been deliberately taking money off many people in under the guise of “investments” and those people have lost $100,000’s of dollars. Schirmer claims to be a “multi-millionaire” cannot be substantiated, and neither can his claims to be a “successful futures and shares trader”. In fact quite the opposite has proven to be true. He was also exposed on Australian National Television, see the YouTube videos on www.schirmerexposed.co.nr for more information.

Michael Walls would be best served by getting out of business with Schirmer before he too becomes another victim.

    John,

    Appreciate your comments and feedback.

I too believe that David and Michael are ’somehow’ involved in Succeed together - I am not exactly sure about the connection though - You’re probably on the money there.

I personally have never met or been involved with David Schirmer NOR have I personally met anyone who has been “taken for a ride” with David.

I do know of two people who have dealt with David and both spoke positively of him - but there are always two sides to every story.

I hope it’s not simply a case of “Tall Poppy Syndrome”

    Cheers,

    Pete

  3. John Says:

    Pete,

    Appreciate your comments.

I do think that the Tall Poppy Syndrome you refer to is often misrepresented. I am not Australian so I may not be fully conversant with the local culture but When anyone gets out in public proclaiming great success, knowledge and understanding, it is the publics duty to test whether this person is who they claim to be or whether they are just promoting themselves to convince others they are someone they are not. This is especially important when these people are expecting to get paid for their “skills” that they market.

Most honest people that succeed go about doing what they do best without all the fanfare, self-congratulations or self promotion. By doing what they do best honestly and with good moral and ethical intentions then success and fortune often come, and most of the time nobody knows who they are. It is always the ones that beat their chest and tell you how good and successful they are that you need to scrutinize a little closer. There is a good chance that if you have to tell others how successful you are and how far you have come then there is reason to be doubtful of the story.

It is also important to remember that a good conman is always believable, that is after all their major talent. A conman with an ordinary story is not a conman for long.

I am in contact with a number of Schirmers victims (and they are victims as Schirmers actions against them was deliberate and calculated) and they are an emotionally spent lot. After having invested $100,000’s of dollars with Schirmer and 4 years passing without any return or explanation of where the money went, they start asking quetions and are immediately sent threatening letters from his lawyer. This is hardly the conduct of an honest businessman.

I am aware of at least 3, and maybe more, separate legal cases being mounted against Schirmer so he is definately not the sinless one he would like the world to think.

Appreciate the opportunity to put forward the other side of the story, because it has been a hard long road for these victims, but finally after many years they look like getting some justice.

    Kind Regards

    John
